Summer Camp
Starting in June 2024, we will be offering summer camp programs at Empire! Students will learn about the wonders of science, art, and technology on top of our preexisting programs.
Electricity Engineering
June 17 - 21
Interested in learning about the future of energy? Learn about how various forms of energy function.
Students will learn about clean energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydro power, and learn to create electricity with help from models.
Earthquake Engineering
June 24 - 28
Rumble and Shake! It's an Earthquake! Build and test structures to withstand huge earthquakes.
California is an earthquake-prone area, and students will build and test structures to withstand the magnitude of 9.0+ earthquakes. Are you ready?
Slime
July 1 - 5
Learn about chemistry and how to mix different chemicals to make slime!
This week, students will learn about scientific terms and engage in the scientific process. Create many fun and colorful kinds of slime.
Egg Racers
July 8 - 12
Protect your precious egg from breaking in this week's activity!
Build a car model that can protect eggs from crashing while in motion. At the same time, kids will learn about the conservation of energy.
Aerospace
July 15 - 19
Learn about rovers, rockets, and planes alike and the science of flight.
Students will be taught about the Mars Curiosity Rover, Planes, Rockets, and the like and build models to demonstrate their learning.
Catapult Challenge
July 22 - 26
Wow! Catapults are awesome! They sure are! Design catapults and compete for the best!
The catapults will teach students about Newton's laws of motion. All items used will be soft and safe!
Tinkering

Are you ready to become a tinkerer? Try your hand at a variety of projects and hands-on activities.
Explore physics, chemistry, engineering and technology in all sorts of tinkering projects.
Bubbles and Balloons

Summer is the best time to play with bubbles and balloons!
